My current practice investigates how architecture and place are tied to prevailing ideology, revealing how this can be understood in a very visual sense. My approach to this practice is multidisciplinary and is translated through different mediums, including sculpture and installation. Current research includes a long term investigation into Albanian Communist architecture with particular reference to how these symbols are now dealt with in the national conscience. In addition, as part of the Bartlett Travel Bursary awarded from Newcastle University, I will be spending a few weeks at the end of the year working in Belarus and Russia researching the propaganda and politics of urban space and architecture.
